About Beatty Park Masters Swimming Club

We started out in 1978 as Osborne Park Masters Swimming Club training at Lyn McClements Pool. We moved to Beatty Park in March 1996 when the Lyn McClements pool closed and have been going strong ever since. We then had a name change to Beatty Park Masters Swimming Club to more accurately reflect our home base. The Club is affiliated with the WA Branch of Masters Swimming Australia.

Masters Swimming motto is “Fitness, Friendship and Fun”. The club works towards the Masters Swimming motto both in and out of the pool. Our membership covers a wide range of ages and abilities with ages ranging from 18 through to the 80’s. If you wish to swim for fitness or would like to take the opportunity to compete at Local, State and National level there is a place for you at Beatty Park Masters. We also have a strong contingent of swimmers who swim and compete in Open Water swims during the summer months.

Club Benefits

Some of our swimmers have a wide range of interests with Iron Man competitors, Local, State and National Masters Champions and seasoned open water swimmers. We always have members training for the Rottnest Channel Swim each year in all categories, from solos to teams of four. Our members enjoy the benefits of qualified and knowledgeable coaching and overwhelming encouragement in a supportive atmosphere.

We enjoy a very active social and competitive scene with the emphasis on having a good time. We regularly arrange social outings that include monthly dinners at affordable restaurants, group attendance at theatres and family picnics.

New members are always welcome. If you would like to take your swimming fitness and ability to a new level as well as have some fun along the way, then we would love to hear from you.

All prospective members can trial training at 4 sessions before officially joining Beatty Park Masters.
